The New Bremen Police
Department provides law enforcement in the Village with six full
time officers and five part time officers, including Chief Doug
Harrod. All full time officers have
completed mandatory training at the Ohio Peace Officers Training
Academy. The Department has three fully equipped cruisers
on the roster, and has the ability to use additional Village vehicles
for special events or disasters.
The Police Department is based in the Municipal Center between
North Washington Street and North Walnut Street. Although there
is always a minimum of one Police Officer on duty in the Village,
the Police Station is NOT staffed continuously. Use the

In the rare event that 9-1-1 is out of service, you may call the
Auglaize County Sheriff's Office Dispatcher at toll free number

Mayor's Court is normally held in Council Chambers in the New
Bremen Municipal Center on the first and third Thursdays at 4:30
pm or other times on a case by case basis. Only misdemeanors
are handled by Mayor's Court.
Bonds can be paid at the Village Offices in the Municipal Center
during regular office hours, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through
Friday or at the Police Department, whenever staffed.

Please notify the Department if you will be on vacation and your
home will be unoccupied. The Police Department also offers
Safety Talks to schools and organizations about traffic and pedestrian
safety and related topics.
