Election Spotlight: Village Council Candidate

In November, two village council seats will be on the ballot. Jacob Larger is running uncontested for his respective council seat.

Jacob Larger was appointed to council in 2017, he is seeking election for a 4-year term. Jacob is a native of New Bremen, he and his wife Maria returned to New Bremen 3 years ago. They reside in the village with their 3 daughters, Cecelia, Gwendolyn and Vivian.

Jacob is a graduate of The Ohio State University, as well as Capital University Law School. Jacob spent several years in Columbus in various government affairs roles, most notably working for the governor’s workforce policy team. Upon moving back to New Bremen in 2016, he worked as a senior administrator for Rhodes State College in Lima, and in late 2017, he transitioned back to the workforce arena with Allen County Job and Family Services.

Jacob has served on the finance, recreation and safety council committees and is an active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

I’m seeking this elected position to guide fiscally responsible public policy within the village. I also believe it is our responsibility as Council to make New Bremen an attractive place for both economic growth and middle-class residential development. I encourage residents to email me about issues of concern at jacob.larger@newbremen.com”.
