September 20, 2017 Special Meeting

Roll call showed the following members present for the special
meeting on this date at 7:30 p.m. Larger, Parker, Kuck, Kronenberger
and Burnell. Richter and Mayor Pape were excused with a motion by
Kronenberger. Second by Parker. Five ayes. Also present were
Village Administrator Dicke, Fiscal Officer Speelman and Solicitor
Smith.

Visitors were Matt Krieg, Jerry McClannan from Mote and Associates
and Ed Gebert representing The Daily Standard.

Discussed expansion of the village’s electrical grid. An industrial
customer is expanding and needs underground electric. Matt Krieg,
Electric Superintendent, presented a map of the area and proposed
layout for the underground. The estimated cost of the project is
$233,000. Project costs will be paid from the electric fund. The leadtime
for the switches needed for the project is 10-12 weeks. The
project completion date is early December. There is only one supplier
in our area for the switches.

Parker made a motion to suspend the rule. Second by Kronenberger.
Five ayes. Declaring Emergency RESOLUTION 2017-9-41 authorizing
Village Administrator to purchase three switches from Brownstown
Electric Supply for the underground electric project to be paid from
the electric fund. Motion by Larger. Second by Burnell. Five ayes.

Kronenberger made a motion to suspend the rule. Second by Parker.
Five ayes. Declaring Emergency RESOLUTION 2017-9-42 authorizing
Village Administrator to go out for bids for the purchase of
underground primary wire. Motion by Burnell. Second by Kuck. Five
ayes.

Discussed the cost of rebuilding the pumps at the waste water plant
and the cost of purchasing new.

Amend RESOLUTION 2017-8-36 to authorize the Village Administrator
to purchase two pumps from Craun-Liebing Co at a cost of $23,925
each. Payment for the pumps will come from the waste water fund.
Motion by Burnell. Second by Parker. Five ayes.

Third reading RESOLUTION 2017-8-36 to authorize the Village
Administrator to purchase two pumps from Craun-Liebing Co at a cost
of $23,925 each. Payment for the pumps will come from the waste
water fund. Motion by Kuck. Second by Larger. Five ayes.

Larger made a motion to adjourn at 8:45 p.m. Second by Kuck. Five
ayes.
