What Are Those Black Spots on My Maple Leaves?!? — No worries. Tar Spot is very common during wetter summers. It’s fungal, but purely aesthetic. No treatments are effective or necessary, but picking up leaves helps reduce spores for next year. For more information regarding these black spots, check out this article.
My Leaves Are Growing Crazy! — Again, no worries. Leaf galls are pretty cool. They may frighten some folks, but when you can explain that they are harmless it eases their mind. For more information and images of leaf galls, check out this article.
