For the past year, the Village has been working with ODOT and Choice One Engineering to address the widening of SR 274 at White Mountain Drive (the entrance of Bunker Hill Industrial Park). Due to the expansion of Crown Equipment Corporation’s Plant #4, and anticipated increase in truck traffic, the village was eligible for funding dollars from the Ohio Development Services Agency and the Jobs & Commerce division of Ohio Department of Taxation.
This area of SR274 had already been a challenging area with truck traffic ingress and egress for the industrial companies located in Bunker Hill Industrial Park. The Village of New Bremen is fortunate to have obtained funding to cover the majority of construction for this road widening project.
Currently bids are being sought by area contractors, with work anticipated to be completed by mid-October.
