Village Volunteer Opportunities
You Can Make a Difference
It takes a village. New Bremen wouldn’t be the community it is without the people who work hard to make their village a better place to live, work and play.
We all have something to contribute. We all bring something to the table. If you would like to get involved, there are plenty of village volunteer opportunities for you to explore.
If you don’t see something that suits your interests or talents below, you can also join one of the many service clubs and organizations that make New Bremen such a wonderful place to live.
Parks Committee
The Village of New Bremen is seeking members of a new committee. The purpose of the committee is to make recommendations for park improvements as well as help Village Council/Administration utilize resources for the maintaining and improvement of our current amenities.

New Bremen Emergency Squad
The New Bremen Emergency Squad is an independent, not-for-profit organization staffed by volunteers. The squad has provided over 40 years of service to the area
To become a member of the New Bremen Emergency Squad, you must be an EMT, AEMT or Paramedic, certified in the State of Ohio.
New Bremen German Township Fire Department
The New Bremen German Township Fire Department is only possible through committed volunteers and outstanding community support. It serves the village as well as German Township.
The New Bremen Fire Dept is always looking for volunteers. If you would like to apply become a volunteer firefighter, you must be 21 years of age and be a resident of New Bremen or live in German Township. You must take a 36-hour basic firefighter training course and a 150-hour level 1 certification. The department has mandatory training and a meeting on the second Wednesday of every month.
Festivals (Bremenfest, Pumpkinfest, Artisan Showcase)
Each year our festival committees are looking for volunteers. It takes several committee members to make an event run smoothly. Whether you are new to the community, or a longtime resident, being a part of the committee is not only a way to give back, but also a great way to meet new people.

New Bremen Strategic Planning Committee
The New Bremen Strategic Planning Committee was formed in order to provide direction for future leaders through helpful research and analysis. Community input is welcomed as the committee evaluates the strengths, weaknesses and opportunities of the area.
