Music and Art

Art enriches a community. In New Bremen and the surrounding area, creative people find inspiration and opportunities to both create and enjoy works of art.

Whether it be through art advocacy organizations, library events or local artist groups, there are endless outlets to get involved in the area art scene.

Lock One Community Arts

Lock One Community Arts began in 2001 through the efforts of three New Bremen families and has since expanded to include numerous volunteers across area communities.

The organization brings live performances and plays to the area for the Auglaize, Mercer and Shelby County region to enjoy. It’s a grassroots, nonprofit organization.

Each season brings new acts and performers to the stage. Community members can enjoy everything from tribute bands to concerts to holiday performances to children’s plays.

Summer Concert Series

Each summer, community members can enjoy open-air concerts through the Summer Concert Series. The series is sponsored by the villages of New Bremen and Minster, as well as the Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber of Commerce.

The series runs from June through August and the performances are held every Sunday. Locations rotate between New Bremen Crown Pavilion and Minster Machine Centennial Park. The Village of New Knoxville hosts the concert series during their annual Independence Day festival.

The concert series schedule becomes available in mid-April.
