Roll call showed the following members present for the meeting on this date at 6:30 p.m. Larger, Burnell, Kuck, Parker, Kronenberger and Richter. Also present were Mayor Pape, Solicitor This, Fiscal Officer Speelman, Chief of Police Skinner. Village Administrator Dicke was absent.
Visitors were Jerry McClannan from Mote & Associates, Jenna Gilbert representing The Evening Leader and Jeff Elking representing The Daily Standard.
Minutes from the July 9 meeting were approved. Motion by Richter. Second by Parker. Five ayes. Kronenberger abstained.
Larger made a motion to approve total expenditures for July in the amount of $1,414,327.39 and total receipts for June were $1,028,661.77 and noted Finance committee reviewed bank reconciliations for June. Second by Kronenberger. Six ayes. Discussed transferring excess funds to Star Ohio account.
Mayor Pape made the following announcements in his Mayor’s Report:
Fines, fees and forfeitures for June were $778.00
Fishing Derby will be held at Kuenning Dicke Natural Area on July 26. Registration begins at 6:00 p.m. Derby is from 7:00- 8:30 p.m.
Annual Fireman’s Picnic is July 28.
Kuenning Dicke Natural Area has added a small Vietnam Memorial.
Mayor will be meeting with softball and baseball parents to discuss restructuring the program.

Jerry McClannan from Mote & Associates reported that Front and Eastmoor Drive project is continuing with installing sewer lines. The first week of August will begin curb work.
In 2014 Ordinance 2014-9-19 Income Tax Filing was tabled. Ordinance 2018-1-3 was passed for mandatory income tax filing. Motion by Larger. Second by Burnell. 6 nayes. Ordinance 2014-9-19 not passed.
Third Reading Ordinance 2018-6-15 Wierth Ditch Pipe Replacement. Enter into contract with Auglaize County Engineer. Village cost is $61,307.17, additional cost possible for clean-up and ditch rock. Motion by Burnell. Second by Larger. Six ayes.
Tabled – Third Reading Ordinance 2018-6-14 House Bill 478 Ohio Small Cell Legislation.
