Roll call showed the following members present for the meeting on this date at 6:30 p.m. Larger, Richter, Burnell, Parker, Kuck and Kronenberger. Also present were Mayor Pape, Solicitor This, Fiscal Officer Speelman, Chief of Police Skinner and Village Administrator Dicke.
Visitors were Jerry McClannan from Mote & Associates, Sandy Schwieterman representing Sidney Daily News, Jenna Gilbert representing The Evening Leader and Jeff Elking representing The Daily Standard. Minutes from the May 25 meeting were approved. Motion by Larger. Second by Richter. Four ayes. Parker and Kuck abstained.
Mayor Pape made the following announcements in his Mayor’s Report:
Bremenfest will be having a talent contest this year. Details can be found on the Bremenfest website.Jarod Knous was sworn in tonight as a part time police officer. Fines, fees and forfeitures for May was $1,792.00
Summer Concert Series at Pavillion has begun. Will also have a food truck at concert on Sunday, June 17.
Mayor Pape attended Water Finance seminar by EPA. They stressed the importance of succession planning.
Congratulation to Lily Wilker on making it to the next round of America’s Got Talent.

Pumps at the wastewater treatment plant are scheduled to be installed in July. They need 4 full days of no rain to install.

Third Reading RESOLUTION 2018-4-2 Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic Services with New Bremen Emergency Squad Inc. Contract will auto renew annually for services. Contract amount is $156,000 annually. $78,000 paid June 1 and October 1. Motion by Kronenberger. Second by Burnell. Five ayes. Parker abstained.
Tabled – Third Reading ORDINANCE 2018-5-12 Entering into an Annexation agreement with German Township for the proposed annexation of 22.719 acres of land.
Tabled – Third Reading ORDINANCE 2018-5-13 Entering into an Annexation agreement with German Township for the proposed annexation of Lot 1 and Lot 2 of Dicke Subdivision. Mayor Pape will be attending the Township meeting on July 3 to discuss the Annexation.
At 6:53 p.m. Larger made a motion to enter executive session to discuss legal and personnel. Second by Parker. Came out of executive session at 8:26 p.m. with on action.
Discussed quotes from Stolly Insurance and Ohio Public Entities Pool (PEP) for the Village’s property, building and equipment insurance policy. PEP quote was approximately $9,000 higher than Stolly Insurance. Will remain with PEP this year but will quote again at next renewal. PEP quote for 2018 is $73,000. Decrease from last year by $24,000.
First Reading Resolution 2018-4-3 Annual Insurance renewal for Property, Vehicle and Equipment with Ohio Public Entities Pool for $73,153 with addition of Increased Cyber Breach for $2,680 for a total of $75, 833. Motion by Kuck. Second by Parker. Six ayes. Larger made a motion to adjourn at 8:29 p.m. Second by Kronenberger. Six ayes.
