Roll call showed the following members present for the meeting on this date at 5:15 p.m. Larger, Richter, Burnell and Kronenberger. Parker and Kuck were excused with a motion by Richter. Second by Burnell. Also present were Mayor Pape, Solicitor This, Fiscal Officer Speelman, Chief of Police Skinner and Village Administrator Dicke.

Visitors were Sandy Schwieterman representing Sidney Daily News, Jenna Gilbert representing The Evening Leader and Jeff Elking representing The Daily Standard.

Minutes from the May 14 meeting were approved. Motion by Larger. Second by Richter. Four ayes.

Larger made a motion to approve total expenditures for May in the amount of $1,139,981.75 and noted Finance committee reviewed receipts for the month of April and bank reconciliations for April. Second by Kronenberger. Four ayes.

Mayor Pape made the following announcements in his Mayor’s Report:
Open House at the Police / EMS Building was success and well attended.

Village Administrator Dicke gave the following report:

Front and Eastmoor Drive reconstruction:
Sanitary work is continuing. Project is on schedule.
Avoid driving on Front & Eastmoor Drive. This is a construction area and the streets are closed.
Talking with insurance companies for quotes on Property, Equipment and Vehicle coverage. Wierth Ditch repair will begin this fall.
Pumps at the wastewater treatment plant will be installed on
June 1.
John Courtney is completing studies for water and wastewater
plants.

The Villages property, building and equipment insurance policy renews on July 1. Policy is currently with Ohio Public Entities Pool. Stolly Insurance will also quote the coverage. Both proposals will be reviewed and shared at the June 11 meeting. Councilman Kuck will assist in comparing the two quotes.

Eiting Real Estate will be managing the property at 210 N Washington St. They will receive 10% of monthly rental fee. No charge if the property is not rented. Village will mow the property. Currently, there is no tenant.

Tabled – Third Reading RESOLUTION 2018-4-2 Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic Services with New Bremen Emergency Squad Inc.

At 5:21 p.m. Larger made a motion to enter executive session to
discuss a land purchase. Second by Burnell. Came out of executive
session at 6:06 p.m. with on action.

Second Reading ORDINANCE 2018-5-12 Entering into an Annexation agreement with German Township for the proposed annexation of 22.719 acres of land. Motion by Kronenberger. Second by Richter. Four ayes.

Second Reading ORDINANCE 2018-5-13 Entering into an Annexation agreement with German Township for the proposed annexation of Lot 1 and Lot 2 of Dicke Subdivision. Motion by Richter. Second by Kronenberger. Four ayes.
