Through the Coronavirus Relief Fund Local Government Assistance Program, the Village of New Bremen was able to offer small business grants to our local businesses. Some of the criteria for eligibility included:
— revenue decline of 10% or more as a result of COVID-19 since March 15th, 2020
— located within the corporation limits of New Bremen and in operation prior to March 1st, 2020
— less than fifty (50) full-time equivalent employees as of March 15th, 2020
— annual gross receipts of less than $2,000,000.00
A total of $50,500 was awarded through the small business grant program, resulting in all 11 applicants receiving a grant amount ranging from $3,000-$5,000. The amount was determined by the % of revenue loss, which fell between 19%-92%. This determination was made based on profit/loss documentation comparing 2020 sales to 2019 sales in the same period of time.
Between the New Bremen Small Business Grant Program and 2 rounds of county funding through ReSTART Auglaize County, our local businesses were eligible for up to $15,000 of grant monies made possible through the Coronavirus Relief Fund Local Government Assistance Program.
